One of the cool things about our new Simple Knitted Bodice pattern (designed by the fabulously beautiful and talented Stefanie Japel) is that you are urged to try it on as you go and make adjustments along the way.  In this way not only are you assured of an accurate fit widthwise, but you can easily adjust the depth of the V neck and the height of the lace ribbing insert.

Pictured above and below are a few Craftsters (check out the knitalong at Craftster for great hands-on help from others who worked this pattern) have been trying on the pattern as they go to get precisely the results they are looking for with this pattern!

Do you want to have a deeper neckline and you don't want to figure out the adjustments yourself?  We've worked up the following option to the pattern - try these directions out for size:

Rows 1- 7: Work as stated in original pattern.
    Rows 8 -15: Repeat Rows 2 and 3, 4 times.
    Row 16: Purl
Row 17: Work as original row 9.
Repeat rows 2-17:  2 times more.
    Repeat Rows 10-17 0 ( 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3) times.

    Divide the sleeves from body as indicated in original pattern. Your stitch count at this point should be: 134 ( 154, 166, 188, 202, 220, 236) sts total: 29 (34, 36, 41, 43, 48, 50) in each front, 76 (86, 94, 106, 116, 124, 136) in each back.

    Continue neck shaping:
    Row 1 (RS): Knit
Row 2 and 4 (WS): Purl
Row 3: K1fb, knit to last st, k1fb.
    Repeat rows 1-4 1(1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 0) times more.
    Repeat rows 3 and 4 1(1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 5) times more – 32 (37, 39, 44, 46, 51, 56) sts in each front, 76 (86, 94, 106, 116, 124, 136) in each back.

Proceed with body instructions as stated in original instructions.
