Vertical Double Decrease - VDD
This decrease is incredibly handy when you want to decrease 2 instead of just one. It is also truly vertical - neither left or right leaning. A very useful stitch in your knitting arsenal.

To work this decrease:

Step 1: Insert right needle through the first 2 sts on the left needle as if to knit .... |

...and slip both together to the right hand needle. |

... and pull the slipped stitches over the knitted stitch. |
