Crochet + Lucet Pattern - Not actual item
A problem with crocheted headbands is that they stretch. Unless you make them with elasticized yarn, you need to keep this in mind or else the headband that fit so perfectly when you made it will feel twice as big after just a little wear.
This project is simple crochet combined with a thin and strong lucet cord. Lucet cord makes a much more sophisticated cord texture than a cord made from a crochet chain. It's also a lot more sturdy.
This headband makes a fun last-minute gift or party accessory and can be made with yarn in your stash. Plus, the way the lucet cord is tied then finished with beads is a simple touch that looks particularly fancy.
Wear the headband with the tie to the side or experiment. There is lots of room for creativity in how to tie and position the bow for wear.
